My 2011 MacBook Pro always drops the wifi connection whenever I plug in the Ethernet cable into it. Is this a known issue? I always notice since I start to download something then plug in my Ethernet cable so it can download faster. The WiFi connection will pick up a few seconds later. By the way, my WiFi is 5ghz N.

If if this has already be addressed or mentioned before, sorry. I couldn't find it when searching MacRumors. Thanks.

Well, if you're plugged in to ehternet, you don't need wi-fi, do you? That's why it's dropped.

But it kills what is every currently active such as a download or something streaming. Never had this happen on other non-Apple laptops.
