Airport Express and Extreme-any rumors?

Sum it up, my set is old 1st gen, but totally functional. Was about to upgrade the set and noticed that last revisions were 2012/2013 for the Airport set (Express/Extreme). At least according to Wikipedie that seems quite comprehensive.

Minor cost inconvenience, but curious if anyone has heard of 2015/2016 updates... waited this long - any reason to wait a little longer?

try searching the fcc registration database. anytime something is registered with the fcc
its specifications are supposed to be available for for public viewing

probably won't show anything , because i think records are confidential before release

thats how i found out the the airport extreme models had a power boost before it was reported to wikipedia. here is a link to an old post
