Airport Express as access point to Airport Extreme

Hello Forum,

Can I use an Airport Express (MB321LLA) as an access point to an Airport Extreme (MC340LLA)?

And if this is possible, can the connection between the two station be made with the help of two powerline adapters?

A friend of mine uses right now an Airport Express as a wireless network extender in his house. His main router is an Airport Extreme. It works but the download speed at the computer that is connected to the Airport Express simply sucks.

My idea is to turn the Airport Express into a (powerline) wired access point instead. Is that possible? Any tips how to do this best?

Yes, that will work fine. AirPort Express can be set to extend a network via WiFi or Ethernet; the Ethernet could be done with a cable or with powerline converters.
