Airport Express - "Base Station Error"

I just bought an Express but when I try to set it up I keep getting the above message and that Airport Utility was unable to find my wireless network device. Despite this I have wireless internet from the express and the device is listed in the Airport Utility programme. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??

I had the same problem. Try closing airport utility and then restarting your airport express.
