I have a 3 year old airport express which has always worked perfectly without a glitch. However, within the last few days it has started having problems and I haven't been able to fix...

I have set the airport express back to the factory default settings. Upon opening the airport utility it has problems discovering (scanning) the airport express. If I quit the airport utility, then reopen it, it will eventually find it. I then go through the create a new network process and get the success message. The new network is then listed on the wireless network list and I am able to connect to it. However, when I open a browser I can not access the internet and the airport express is blinking amber. When I reopen the airport utility to check the preferences, there are no errors being reported.

I have repeated these steps numerous times but no dice...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I have double-checked that the internet is working via a direct ethernet connection.
