I have an old (802.11g) airport express that I use as my WAP for my house, connected to a cable modem, and to stream music to my stereo. On a fairly regular basis I can not connect to it using my macbook, it either connects automatically like it should, appears in the network list but time out when I try to connect to it or doesnt even appear at all. The firmware is up to date and it always shows the green light. The problem can usually be fixed by hard rebooting (unplug then plug back in) but its a major pain. Is there any way to fix this or do i just need to shop for a new one?
thanks

i had this same problem with mine. Took it to the Apple store and they plugged it in to test it. They couldn't replicate the issue, but since I was really nice to them and was able to speak to the technical steps I had performed, they went ahead and replaced it for me.

I probably spent two weeks off and on messing with it before I finally gave up. Don't waste your time, take it in.
