gents, misses

is there a way to deactivate the wifi functionality of my airport express but keep the ethernet functionality? I want to kill the wifi at night (to limit radiation for my kids ...) but allow my macbook to remain online via ethernet. I guess not (checked already the preferences and the almighty internet), but maybe I can find a solution through this forum. If not, what would be an alternative?

Current setup is: modem - airport express.

Maybe an alternative solution can be: modem - small router - airport express (which can be powered off at night). I'd connect then the macbook via ethernet to the small router.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

this kills the wifi of my macbook, not the wifi signal of the airport :)

Can you plug an Ethernet cable from the modem to the MacBook and switch of the airport express? Otherwise shut it off when you go to sleep.

I'm not sure if Wifi connections actually harm anyone.

Just go to this screen in Airport Utility and turn off the wifi.

wifi is very low intensity and very high frequency. You should be more concerned about high voltage power lines, transformers and other sources of higher intensity, lower frequency radiation.
But honestly once you go down that path, you will end up concluding you need to move to the woods and live in a self built shack.
