I seriously can't take this anymore. My AE (my only means of wireless connectivity) will reset at least 5-6 times a day.

I tried taking it into Apple, but they were less than helpful. Their suggestion, change the channel to something higher, like 8.

Not much of a change.

Any other suggestions? Not only with fixing the AE, but maybe getting a new one from Apple if this keeps persisting...

Could there be something in my room causing interference? Subwoofer, speakers.. tv?

have a cordless phone nearby? microwave? either can easily cut out the airport express. and changing the channel can help for the former. there is also the option of interference robustness that might help.

Maybe it's that aluminum foil hat that you are wearing on your head that protects you from the alien rays! :D

Just kidding... try moving it to another location in the room.

- it's less than a year old.

- no microwaves, no cordless phones

i do have a mobile phone, but i don't know how that would affect it.

- also, i do have interference robustness selected on both my laptop and AE

Okay, then it's probably not this.

Do you live in an apartment building? Your neighbor's cordless phone may be an issue if its powerful. Have you tried changing channels yet? Stay away from 1 and 6.

None, even the highest frequencies used by wireless services are not part of the spectrum used for unlicensed networking.

Have you seen the lights on the AE change when it has stopped working.
Have you tried bypassing your wireless for a period of time to ensure it is not actually an ISP issue?

well, i switched to a higher channel a couple hours ago and surprisingly, it's keeping it's strength. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens...
