Gah! Plymouth
I know that apple states that the airport express can only extend an airport network, but i have seen a few posts stating that you can extend a 3rd party network with an airport express. One of the posts linked to this URL. So i am just wondering how difficult it would be to extend a linksys network with an airport express.

I am getting the airport express because the VPN on my mothers computer keeps kicking her off for some reason when she is upstairs yet when she sits next to the wireless router it doesn't boot her off, so we need to get another wireless network expander.

thank-you

Check this out:

It explains how you can extend a Linksys network with airport express.

I haven't tried this yet myself but I am considering swapping my recently purchased d-link router for this linksys model, so that i can add an airport express in as a wifi extender rather than just a client. Basically the theory should apply to any wireless router that supports WDS, which unfortunately my d-link doesn't.

let us know if you try this out!
