a friend of mine is interested in getting either an airport extreme or an airport express, and he's asked me for some advice.

he's currently got a usb adsl modem connected directly to his imac which is used to connected to his broadband. he wants to get either an airport extreme or an airport express so he can also use the connection with his macbook, and also connect an external harddrive for backup purposes.

is it possible to connect the usb modem to either the express or extreme and use it to share the internet connection? i can only find mention of connecting a modem using the ethernet port. if this is the case a new modem will be required as well....

cheers
