Ok so I moved back into uni with my iMac and AE. I use the Internet Sharing feature on my iMac to share its internet connection to my iPhone. Now, I want my AE to use this internet connection aswell, but when I tried to locate the AE in Airport Utility, it can't be found.

Only when I turn off Internet sharing can I locate the AE. I was wondering if theres any options in the advanced section of the Airport Utility that will enable the AE to use my iMacs shared internet connection?

Port mapping?
NAT?

thanks a lot for any help!!

You will probably have to

- temporarily plug the ethernet cable between the express and your mac
- set the express to join the network created by your mac
- once it has joined, you can then unplug the Ethernet from the express.

as long as it's one of the newer N expresses, you can also then share the wireless connection out of the ethernet port if you need to.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

lovely, I'll try that out tomorrow
