I have been using an Airport Express in client mode to provide a wired internet connection to a Windows 7 PC that is used primarily for streaming TV over the internet. The PC is set to go to sleep if not in use but upon wakening it the Airport Express fails to provide an internet connection and I have to reboot it. Neither rebooting the PC nor rebooting the router has any effect - I have to reboot the Airport Express. The Airport Express is new and came with the latest firmware.
I also use the Airport Express to provide an Airplay connection to speakers and this continues to work even though the internet connection to the wired PC gets lost so the Airport Express is clearly still connected to the network - it just doesn't deliver an internet connection to the PC when it wakes or is rebooted.
Any ideas what might be the problem?
