If I get an Airport express and set it up first-time at home, will I be able to just "plug in and go" at a hotel with an ethernet connection?

I want to use it with my iPod touch, but Im scared that it will need a laptop to change airport settings at different hotels.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. If your iPod Touch can connect to the Internet via the AE, then it will work fine at a hotel with a wired connection.

The only hang up is that if the login prompt (most hotels have this) is a flash based login, you will not be able to access the page, in turn not being able to access the Internet via the Touch.

Oh dear... I'm going to Poland and from my pre-trip research it seems that even the tiniest restaurants all seem to use Flash over there - even if it's a plain-looking site!

I hope I can get on in the hotel.
