I have 3x AirPort Express stations set up in my house. One is connected to the the modem next to the iMac and is used as the 'main' base station. The other two are being used to extend the network, one in the lounge (connected to the home theatre for AirPlay) and the other is located in my bedroom to provide a better wireless internet strength and for AirPlay as well.

The AirPort in my room seems to lose the connection to the main station at times (amber light blinking) then will reconnect a few seconds later. This is getting frustrating as when I'm using AirPlay I have to go back to my MacBook to hit play again on iTunes.

What can be done about the connection issues? I've checked AirPort Utility numerous times and everything is set up correctly.

Edit:
Could it possibly be that there's too much noise on the network?

I have a similar problem
I broadcast my iTunes using Airfoil to an Apple hifi and occasionally the music cuts out for short periods.

Interested to hear any solutions
