Airport Express - Music streaming quality

Does airport express stream your iTunes music in full quality? I have lossless music and was wondering if anyone knew if it lowers the bit rate or anything. I have one set up right now and the music sounds a little worse than straight from my computer. I might be crazy

Well it streams digitally.

The quality is all down to the the d/a converters in the AE.

IMO they're not to bad - depends on what you are comparing them to.

Use the S/PDIF mini out and let your processor/receiver do the D/A, that's what I do.

It streams at full lossless quality so any quality loss is something else.
