Hi,

I have a Netgear DG834 and yesterday i purchased a Airport Express to extend and connect to my Stereo system.

I am able to extend the wireless if i run a cat 5e cable between the two, but is it possible to link the Airport and Netgear Router over wireless? I tried but unsuccessful.

I have been reading and someone has suggested that i set the Netgear to WEP instead of WPA and when connecting the Airport to it add "$" to the start of the password.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Darren

have the express "join a wireless network" instead of trying to extend.

you won't get any extra range on your existing wireless coverage, but you won't get the headache of trying to extend a non:apple: wireless network.

if you care about keeping more than just the "honest" people off your network, don't use WEP, it's very easily crackable.

Yep i would stay well away from WEP myself, but that's what some people were recommending.

Will try "Join Wireless Network" tonight.

Thanks
