Ok, I've had one of the old Express's for some time now. I recently moved my desk to the other side of the house. It's about 40 yards away from the modem. The old express wouldn't reach and I couldn't get online on my PS3. I was like, oh ok, so I'll get one of the newer ones with "2x Range". I was told I would notice a BIG difference in range by a friend of mine.

I went to connection status(on the PS3) and it still only clocks in at 15%.

Yes, the transmit power is at 100%. Did I get a bad express? I did order it off eBay <___<. but it said it was the "n" technology in the Airport Utility when I was setting it up.

I also tried using one of my old expresses as an extender, but the internet is still extremely slow.

That would explain the PS3, but why is my laptop only getting two "bars" 40 yards away?

Are there walls, concrete, water, metal, rocks, people, iMacs, or other things in the way causing signal loss?

Does you're laptop have Wireless N? (If a Mac, is it enabled? (Some macs shipped with it off)
