Hi there. For few days now, I have persistent problems with connection to my home computers outside LAN. I use Airport Express (last generation). I have two computers. Mac mini and HP microserver for storing files. Locally on my LAN I can connect from Mac mini to HP computer without any problem what so ever. On internet looks like it's impossible to connect to my HP computer. So far I've tried the following:
- checked for my public IP (OK)
- checked if my ISP blocks ports (it's OK)
- open port on Airport Express like this:
Public TCP ports: 3389
Private IP Address: 10.0.1.7 (that's static IP of my HP computer)
Private TCP ports: 3389
- I've checked that Airport supports NAT
- I've checked windows route table and it looks fine
- Restart/Shutdown all computers, router and modem
- I've checked that Windows computer really listens at port 3389
Because I can connect locally from Mac to my HP, I guess local ports and network is not an issue. Looks like there is a problem with Airport Express settings. I don't have any idea now, what else could I try. If anyone else knows for a solution please help me.
