So here are a few questions I've been wanting to ask about AirPort Express:
1. Let's say you use it to set up a home network. When it splits your cable connection, does it just send 1/x of the signal to each of x computers, or does it manage the bandwidth dynamically so that one computer would get the entire bandwidth if no one else is trying to access the internet?
2. Are you sharing one IP address between all of the computers on the network? If so, does that mean that a network administrator for your provider would not be able to tell that you are sharing the connection? My university doesn't like to see people building networks within their network. Would they be able to tell? When at the university, I mainly want to use it so that I can put my computer wherever I want without having to worry about the ethernet cord. But every now and then, someone might come over and want to join the network so that we can transfer files or what not.
Thanks for the info.
