can i use the Airport Express to create wi-fi connection for me and my boss next to me in the other room? there's a wall between us..

yeah but how far does it go? more than 50 meter?

maybe, 50 meters is a bit far though.

depends on how many walls there are.
depends on what those walls are made of.
depends on what angle you're going through the walls.
depends on the wireless interference in your area.
depends on a lot of stuff.

there are a lot of variables involved in how far wireless will travel, and short of testing it out, there's no real way to know.
what works great in one location, might not work in another.
