Airport Express Refresh?

I've been contemplating buying one, but a few weeks ago I noticed it out of stock at many of the Apple stores around me. It continued to be available online and at other retailers, though.

Then today I noticed it's showing availability of December 15th at all of the Apple stores it was previously sold out of.

Does this indicate a refresh, or does the Express always tend to sell out this time of year?

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to pick one up for the bedroom and airplay, but amazon.com has be OOS now for a few weeks. Apple.com (EPP for work) shows availability.
