Airport Express - refurb has different model than new?

Looking for a new Airport Express. Refurb store has them at a worthwhile discount, but the part number is slightly different.

New is: MC414LL/A
Ref is FC414LL/A

Pretty sure both are the latest generation, but curious why a different part number. Same product?

Apple always uses different part numbers for refurbs I'm not sure why though.

Most manufacturers will have some way of differentiating new vs refurbished stock. It's all about accounting and inventory management.

Thanks - figured that's probably what it was. Would be really odd to have the same model number otherwise and actually be different. Anyway, picked one up for $65 - nice savings.
