Airport Express: Stream sound outside of iTunes?

Is there any way to stream sound besides songs in my itunes library? I mean sheesh, iTunes won't even stream sound played from movie previews inside it.

Oh wait, let me guess - there is a bit of latency/buffering in the transmission so if I tried to use it with movies or a game the sound would lag behind the video. Am I right?

I searched for airtunes and look through 150 of 500 results with no answers...
