AirPort Express TOTAL SOUND

I just bought an airport express, mainly for the application to stream music to my surround sound system. Basically when I throw parties my mac is my DJ booth from anywhere in the apartment. And it works great

But it only works with Itunes.

I watch alot of internet tv shows, and it would be nice to be able to stream all my sound to my speakers. Now i've contacted apple and they're no help. Maybe someone out there knows how to set the preferences.
