airport express...ugh

i have had a airport express for months now. been hooked up using pc on xp finally got my mbp, and after buying a bum router the airport express isn't hooking up again. since i got it i've had it piggy backed to a wired linksys router. this worked decently well. since returning the bum router i cannot get this thing to pick up the internet, send out a signal, or anything. i tried messing with the settings in airport utility and since then the utility said it was resetting and it froze. now it wont send a signal or anything. help!

i've tried every reset on that page. for the life of me i can't figure this out

Explain your setup more clearly. And, did you hard reset the modem as well?
