Can u connect aiprort express usb slot to macbook air ethenet adapter and connect that to xbox for use with xbox live. will that work?

thanks

The Airport Express already has an ethernet port, and no, your idea will not work.

If your Airport Express is you network's base station, I would suggest either getting the Microsoft XBox WiFi Adapter, or getting a router to give you a wired connection.

the new express with 802.11N will let you share an incoming wireless connection out the ethernet port.

If you have an existing wireless network (not coming from the express) you can
  • have MBair join the wireless network
  • have express join the wireless network and share it out the ethernet port to the Xbox

if you are using the express as the wireless base, you will need a router or hub.
your internet connection will then wire to the new router, and the express and the xbox will wire back to the router.

or you can use the express as your wireless base and use the xbox wireless adapter, but the second route might be cheaper.
