Hi Everyone!

I've been searching the entire forum for answers about the new airport express:

1. Does it support streaming 6 channel audio like spdif pass through?

2. Does it handle any streaming audio from itunes?

3. Is it any good?

TIA!

1. I don't know

2. Yes, at home I stream music from my iMac (iTunes) to my stereo thru Airport Express

3. I think so, for me it works great :)

1. I don't know.

2. Yes, I stream iTunes from my MacBook Pro "AND" from my iPhone.

3. Yes. The AirPort express with air tunes is a very nice little device. We've been using one for 5-6 years as our only wifi router, and have yet to have any issues with it. (apart from a power serge that fried a previous model I had, but that's not the airport's fault)

1) Airport Express has Optical out via mini-toslink. Now I don't know if this explicity provides 6 channel audio, but I assume it would (otherwise what would be the point?)

2) Yes.

3) I use mine for AirPlay from my Mac's and my iDevices all the time, it's great.
