For some reason Airport Express does not play well when there is no internet connected to it.
I've noticed whenever my APE acts strange it's because it's either not connected to internet or connected to an unstable connection or router.
I want to bring it with me on a ski trip to use along with a dock speaker, so everybody can stream music from their iphones.
But given I don't know the availability or stability of the hotels internet, there is a big chance the APE will act up like I've tried so many times before in hotels and friends apartments.
When I went to a friends apartment to show how wonderful the APE works, it would refuse to let iPhones connect to it because it was not connected to the internet.
Is there some setting I can change in Airport utility so that the APE will just keep it's wifi running strong and letting those Airtunes stream even in the absence of internet?
