After a year, I have reconnected my Airport Express to the same MacBook Pro. Everything checks out -- green light on, WPA password accepted, bar icon showing full strength, correct network name selected, etc. Airport Utility says everything is as it should be.
Problem: it won't connect to the internet.
No problem connecting to my neighbor's unprotected network, though.
Thanks for any suggestions??

Power cycle the modem perhaps? Directly connect the computer to the modem and run updates, also check for firmware updates for the AirPort Express.

Airport Express connection.

Thanks for those suggestions. I've done all but the firmware update inquiry, which I'll pursue.
I just remembered having a similar problem with an Airport Extreme connection at a different location, and it turned out to be a cordless phone that was interfering. I'm thinking the same thing is happening here, but I can't see anything that might be doing it. And it worked ok last year.
