Airport Express!!!

can somebody pls tell me how the airport express is different from the airport extreme basestation? I was thinking of ordering the AEBS, but now it seems to be more reasonable to go for the (much cheaper) airport express. There must be some difference i suppose, but what? I'm just a guy who wants to be able to get on the internet wireless. I just want to connect a PB and en printer, that's all!
Also on the apple page the don't say anything about the range of the airport express. Now you can get about 45 metres with the AEBS but can the airport express match this range?
