I have a bit of an unusual set up. Where I live I can only get wireless internet. the signal comes from a line of site tower to a dish on my property and then I have an cable running into my house. The cable is connected to Belkin "G" router - no modem. The belkin is then wired to my G5 quad powermac. The belkin is now failing so I replaced it with a AEBS. I have spent many hours trying to get the AEBS to work without success. Any ideas? The IP tells me basically any router should work.

I've had the same problem with an Airport Express where I was connected to it but the internet signal itself was sending from the Express...I'm not sure what is causing the problem either...

Managed to figure it out. The "router address" was wrong. Got the correct address and bang! everything works. I still find it annoying that the airport set up software kept telling me there was no problem. Oh well - live and learn.
