Hey guys,

i've recently purchased an airport extreme to include wireless capabilities in my home. I've a cheap ADSL modem router, the brand is Prolink.

I've set up both of them in this manner:
line-> modem router -> Airport extreme

The modem is connected to the airport extreme by the LAN port on the modem and to the WAN port on the extreme. Is this correct?

I've tried setting up the extreme using my macbook and there is no successful internet connection. Do i need to adjust anything on my modem router for the extreme to work? I couldn't get its status to turn green. It's blinking amber right now.

Thanks!

Yes - it sounds like your cabling is correct. Are you able to detect the airport extreme using the airport utility from your macbook?
