airport extreme airdisk over the internet helpp

i am very confused i have read multiple threads about setting my airport extreme to show my airdisk over the internet with a smb or afp connection. i cant seem to figure it out i have dyndns and i know im missing something. can anyone help. all i want to be able to do is view my airdisk/timemachine over the internet thanks.
