My internet has been acting up frequently and whenever I get it fixed, I re set up the router accordingly. However, when my internet broke most recently, I finally got the modem to work, but not the router. I'm pretty mac proficient and I did everything that any mac specialist would say to do, restart the modem and the router, do a master reset, default settings and everything. It still says cannot connect to the internet because it doesn't have a valid IP address.

Also, when I hardwire my modem to my computer, it works fine.
I went to the apple store and the modem worked fine for them, so I just cannot figure it out, it's been driving me crazy.
