AirPort Extreme backup

2 problems:
1) I have been backing up through time machine using the airport extreme usb and it is only 20% done. My computer froze, and I have to start over now. Is there a way to simply backup directly from my computer and then move the hard drive over? All I know is that my old backup is not recognized.

2) I would like to have both my backup drive and printer connected to the airport extreme. Can I connect the ethernet plug to the printer or will that not work?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

ethernet should work for the printer.. as long as your printer supports it. Although i just bought i usb hub and plugged it into the AE usb which has worked fine for me. Got one for like $10 bucks at Wal-Mart.

As far as your time machine back up I don't think you can move it. Time machine options are limited. I did mine last night and it went fine.. but I left it overnight.. You might double check and make sure your drive is mac osx journaled
