Please tell me, is it already released, or not?
I believe 7.6.2 is only for the new Airport Express at this point.
Sorry, but I disagree with you:
1) If that is right, there would be a release note at Apple website, but there is no such a note.
2) In the links from my previous message, people are talking about AEBS having 7.6.2 firmware as well.

I have an AEBS and it's at 7.6.1 and when I check for updates, it says I am up-to-date.
If that is there in those threads, I missed it. Because every mention of it I saw it was expresslyD) talking about the Express.
from Broadbandreports said:-One additional network detail: the main router has its wireless network extended by two other airport extremes, all running firmware 7.6.2. The issues above happen no matter which computer is attached to which router, though, so I'm not sure if it's relevant or not.
from SomethingAwful said:The 16 MB flash is conjecture as there's no mention of it in the article, but since it appears to use the same proprietary Apple firmware v.7.6.2 that the Extreme does, I'd be willing to bet it's the same.
why he is asking about it?from Apple discussions thread said:Airport Extreme Firmware 7.6.2
where can i find the features on this new firmware, am interested to know the bugfix.

Same here with newest Time Capsule and Airport Util 5.6.
Finally, I have a more respectable proof:

Version: 7.6.2![]()
The article title says Air Port Express, not Extreme. Isn't that what the others have been saying, 7.6.2 was for the Express?
In case some of you are still looking for the links (which are NOT available from the Apple site anywhere) You can actually check the XML file located at ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/Airport/Fimware/version.xml
Just crack it open with TextEdit or XCode and you'll find the links. For 10.8 I found these links worked for me and I tested the first link and did a firware upgrade. It worked like a charm!!

** Use with caution as you should be sure you have the correct firmware. Happy hacking everyone!! ;-)
BTW - I'm an Apple Certified Tech working as an independent consultant. Let me know if this works for you or not. I've ONLY tested this so far between the latest Airport Extreme and 10.8.3.
