Please pardon my noobishness..
I have just bought an Airport Extreme assuming it is a wireless modem like my old Netgear DG834G.. I have tried plugging in the cable that comes from my telephone line into the internet WAN port with no recognition from the Airport Extreme.. Am I correct to say that the Airport Extreme is NOT a modem like the DG834 or is it? Will it mean I need an external modem to connect me to the internet?
Right now its working flawlessly with the WAN port connected to an ethernet port to the DG834.. It's freaking fast!
