Airport Extreme Base Station wireless + ethernet problem

I have my new generation AEBS set up to create a wireless network in my home. I want to connect my xBox 360 to it with an ethernet cable since my system is an older one without built-in WiFi. However, when I plug in the ethernet cable to the AEBS the connection light is not on and the ethernet port is not enabled.

Is there a way to enable the ethernet ports on the new Airport Extreme while also having it create a wireless network? My AEBS is connected to my cable modem.

Should be plug and play. I have the same setup; an older Xbox 360 wired to a 5th gen AEBS. Works flawlessly.

Try a different cable.

Or try a different ethernet port.
