My father-in-law just took his entire house from PC to Mac, buying:

Black MacBook (for himself)
White MacBook (for his wife)
MacBook Pro (for his youngest daughter, a film student)
Mac Pro (for his 50" Sony Bravia)
Airport Extreme

He's extremely happy with all of it, without a doubt. However, he's having a slight problem with the Airport Extreme. When one computer is connected to the network, everything works fine, but when a second computer is connected and trying to access the internet at the same time, all connections stall.

Is there something I should be looking for? I've got the Airport set to share the IP address from the DSL modem. Can anyone with BellSouth DSL post their settings for the airport extreme? Or anyone have any ideas about what I should look for to get it fixed?

The only thing that comes to mind (and I'm not an expert at all) is that there might be an IP conflict. They should all be in the same domain but have different numbers...so if one of the computers' IP is:

192.168.1.45

then you would want another to be like...192.168.1.50 (I tend to use the birthday of whoever's computer it is if I'm doing it manually).

I don't know why that would be a problem but you never know. I hear practicallynetworked.com is supposed to be a great resource for networking issues.
