I have my external hard drive connected to my airport extreme. I always connect through Finder and do whatever I need with my files.

Now, I can connect, but the drive shows empty. When I physically connect the hard drive to my laptop, my files are there. I tried connecting to the drive remotely from 2 different computers and it shows nothing remotely (same wifi network) unless I directly plug in the drive to my laptop.

Please help. Thanks! (Running latest Mavericks, tried repairing permissions, rebooting).

Are you using your user account as provided through the Extreme. Send a screenshot of the "Disks" tab in AirPort Utility.

Probably the extreme thinks the files stored on the drive are not sharable. Sometimes happens. When you "get info" of the drive, what kind of permissions are indicated?

Otherwise Mavericks seems to be flakey sometimes. Instead of using the finder, try selecting "connect to server" under the go menu and select the Extreme...
