I've been looking around for replacement Airport cards for my 2008 Mac Pro (having connectivity issues specific to that machine; no access to router, landlord provides free wifi), and all I see at OWC is the 661-5048. I've been trying to Google around confirmation of compatibility with the 3,1, but I'm not having any luck. The desktop has the three antenna cables, with only two wired to the current card; the 661-5048 that OWC lists appears to have three connectors for appropriate antennae.

Has anyone popped one of these Airport Extreme cards into the 3,1 or similar system and had it work fine (either with only two antenna cables connected or all three)? Trying to investigate this issue a bit more thoroughly before I consider ordering anything (either OEM or 3rd party). I am assuming worst case scenario, I could still use aforementioned card, but just wire connectors 1 & 3 with antenna wires 1 & 3.
