Hello,

I am new to mac using PB 15 for past few weeks. Love it and so far worked flawlessly. Since yesterday since I made a change in my network and having some airport connection issues.

Before this change I was connecting cable modem to router (SMC) and was using router to connect several windows based pc either wired or wireless in the house and also to connect my mac. Mac worked without any issues when connected directly to modem or wired/wireless to router.

Yesterday I added a Linksys switch between modem and router and since then I cannot get on net using airport. I can still get online via wired connection either through switch or router on my PB and the weird thing is my airport shows it is connected but when I open safari or IE explorer it says cannot connect to server. Mac stumbler shows I am connected close to 80% strength. When I connect directly via ethernet my airpot shows connected properly with all the IP addresses but when I remove ethernet the router IP address on airport disappears. I have done the following things.

1. Reconfigured the router and I can get on net using all my windows based PCs via router (wirelessly) except the airport.

2.Removed airpot card, turned on the PB without it and reinstalled card again.

3. By passed the switch and reconfigured old ways (i.e. modem-router-pc)

Not able to open browser using airpot. Wonder if something got changed in airport software and whether it will help reinstalling the airport driver.

Any help appreciated.
