I have an old aiport extreme (AE), purchased late 2008. It stopped working this fall. I now need help with a diagnosis of my old friend. I think it went down after or whilst i updated the firmware. Now i can't access the device in any way (wan or wifi). the AE is blinking amber when not connected to the internet and has a solid amber glow when connected. It doesnt show in airport utility. I've tried to reset the AE hard, soft and factory with no luck. I'm about to throw away the router but wan't to give it one more chance. So does anyone have a suggestion?

Did you check to see if the power brick give enough power? If you have a multimeter (they go for under 10$ for the cheap one) you should check, just in case
