I have 10 megs down, 1 meg up. When I connect from my airport extreme to my Macbook Pro through ethernet I get around 9.6 mbps down and around 900 k up. When I connect from my airport extreme to my Macbook Pro or my PowerMac G5 wirelessly I get around 1.5 mbps down and around 900 k up. I called applecare and the guy I talked to said that sounded about right??? Does anyone have any ideas, should I change to different brand wireless router? I can't believe 10 megs down would drop to less than 2 when wireless. Most people have 1.5 mbps - 5 mpbs, I could only imagine how slow their internet would be if this was right.
