So the new Airport Extreme has two radios and allows one to use 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz simultaneously with 802.11 a/b/g/n in various configurations on either band.

My question is this, can you use different types of encryption for each band/radio or are you forced to use one for all?

What I'd like to do is have 2.4 ghz running 802.11 b/g for an older iBook and my iPhone using WEP encryption. Then have 5 ghz running 802.11n using WPA2 encryption. Both will use MAC address filtering to also tighten security a little.

Lastly, can the guest login also use it's own type of encryption (or lack thereof) independent of the above?

Thanks!

Don't know, sorry.
