First and foremost can people who are posting help threads please post a topic title that at least partly explains the problem you're having? I went through so many pages trying to get an answer because of stupid topic titles that gave no hint at all as to what the thread contents were or even what the question was. </rant>
I'm having a problem with my new Airport Extreme setup. Everything was pretty easy to hook up and install and my FAT32 external hard drive (Western Digital MyBook 250 gb) can be viewed in the Airport Utility with no problems but it's not displaying on my Macbook Pro at all. There are no errors with the Air Disk indicated inside the Airport Utility.
On the network there is a dormant Windows tower connected to my LCD tv. I say dormant because once Windows and Parallels had hot monkey sex I was able to use it on my Mac without having to reboot making it perfect. I booted up the Windows tower and installed the Airport Utility on that tower which is also hooked up to the Airport Extreme by ethernet. Setup was a breeze but the problem with the Air Disk reared it's ugly head in a DIFFERENT way. The Windows tower recognizes that the disk is there but is unable to access it whether it's in guest mode or logging in using the correct password. It keeps throwing up an Error (53) message that says the password is wrong or login is disabled.
I've searched Google, Apple's support site and this forum with no resolution. I admittedly did only go 2 pages deep into the search here before posting this thread but any help is greatly appreciated!
Here are some images to show what I'm up against:
