Hey

I have been encountering a problem which is kind of hard to describe in one line. So here is the long version:

I have an Airport Time Capsule and three external HDDs attached to it via a USB hub. Both the hub and the external drives get their power from the plug, the Airport does not have to provide anything in that respect.

When I access these drives via network, say e.g. I want to watch a movie which is stored on one of the drives, I click on the Time Capsule in the Finder, then access the hard drive. Now it starts to spin up which takes a few seconds. Sometimes the folder/file tree is stored and I can browse the hard drive while it's still spinning up. So while it spins up, I navigate to the file I want to access. And here comes my problem: when the hard drive finally can be accessed and I open the movie, I can't do so, because it is "corrupted". All other files work as intended. Just those to which I navigate before the drive is accessible can not be accessed. To solve the issue, I have to restart the drive, wait for everything, and then navigate to the file.

This is really annoying since I bought the new Apple TV, and when I browse the iTunes library of my machine (which has all the external files in its library) I can't view the movie. All other files work. Only the one I navigated to during spin-up does not work.

Is this a know issue? Are there solutions?
thanks
