AirPort Extreme - Files over the Internet

In the description for the Extreme, it says:

If you’re a MobileMe member using a Mac with OS X Leopard or later, you can even access the files on the drive over the Internet.

Well, as MobileMe no longer exists, how does this now work? Via iCloud? So if I was out of range of my Extreme, how would I access files on an external hard drive connected to it?

Yes, it works just like Back to My Mac, showing up in Finder. You just have to log in to iCloud via the Airport Extreme.

The iPad doesnt have a file explorer. What are you trying to do?
