Just logged in to my Airport Extreme and got hit with an update. Not sure what it is but it is bringing me to 7.3.1. Hopefully more later.

I have v7.2.1 and it doesn't show any updates available. My AirPort Extreme only has the 10/100 speed and not gigabit however.

as soon as I opened Airport Utility it popped up. I think you can click on the Firmware version and it gives you the option to check for new.

I just checked www.versiontracker.com, www.apple.com, and I also logged in to my server at home from work and got on Airport Utility.

I have three gigabit Extreme basestations, two Airport Extreme G stations, an an express.

None of these are reporting a firmware upgrade.

To the original poster, please post some proof of this firmware update so the rest of us can see what you are talking about or else this is analogous to me saying my new Powerbook G5 just arrived via UPS.

Thanks.

7.3.1 Just showed up for me

I'm on an Extreme w/ Fast Ethernet, and have stuck with 7.1.1 since I got it cause 7.2.1 was way too flaky. I'm afraid to try out 7.3.1 now though.

7.3.1 doesn't show up on Apple's download page which leads me to believe the picture above is fake?

Also Apple has a nasty habit of removing previous firmware's from their downloads page when a new one arrives, 7.2.1 still available.

There IS a time machine update though.

I have to concur..

ITS REAL.. I have just dl it. I post a screen shot if I can figure it out

Here's from AppleInsider:

Apple on Wednesday afternoon posted a fix that amends issues with both its AirPort wireless adapters and its Time Machine backup utility.

Time Machine and AirPort Update 1.0 (10.9MB) is said to include compatibility fixes for users hoping to use Time Machine backups with the recently introduced Time Capsule wireless router and its built-in hard drive.

It also includes AirPort wireless driver fixes, according to Apple, though the company doesn't say which devices are affected or list symptoms.

The update is only available for systems running the client version of Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 or later.
