I picked up an Airport Extreme N router over the weekend and was looking to expand my Apple nirvana. Unfortunately, I tried to install the router (updated to 7.2.1 firmware) and had nothing but problems. Here are my list of problems:

1. Wireless clients cannot see or access the router. I have both PCs and a SR MBP trying to access the router. What that means is that my network does not show up when I try a wifi search. I used more than one sniffer. The error message I get on my MBP is that "There is an error trying to join the airport network XXXX". The router settings I used was "create a wireless network", security was all over the place (WPA/WPA2, no security, WEP). SSID was turned on.

2. Computers can not see the USB HD. Tried connecting a USB HD to the router. It was initially working but after a hard reset (5sec pin) due to the lack of wireless connectivity, the router could no longer see the drive.

Can anyone help me??? I would appreciate any advice, support, and links to help solve this problem. I really want to like my Airport Extreme but so far I'm pretty disappointed at Apple.

Thanks in advance!
